AIP vs Nuclear Submarines

AIP submarines are cheaper and more stealthy in shallow water than nuclear submarines.[1] They have less power and are slower and smaller than nuclear-powered ones.[1] Due to their small size they have fewer weapons.[1] Nuclear-powered submarines can sustain faster speeds for a longer amount of time.[1] Nuclear submarines typically carry around 40 torpedos while non-nuclear submarines carry around 20.[^1] They also do not require oxidizers to operate the propulsion system.[2]
