The T-2 Buckeye was used in intermediate jet training. This included 6 daytime arrested landings on an aircraft carrier. The Buckeye was replaced in 2003 by the T-45 Goshawk.

The engine intake also has an unusually-shaped splitter plate.
Among the canopy controls we can see a small static port on the left side of the aircraft.
