YF-12A

The YF12-A was a two-seat prototype interceptor designed to carry 3 AIM-47 air-to-air missiles.[1] This program was cancelled due to the high cost of the aircraft, only 3 were built.[1] 2 of the 3 aircraft were lost due to accidents.[1] This aircraft was revealed to the public in February of 1964 by president Lyndon B.
