The 10.5.1 version of the F-18 flight control software was used for the US navy on the fighter production lots XIX and above. The changes included in this software patch was the AOA selection logic, changes to the air data sensor failure logic, changes to Aileron/Rudder actuator recovery, rudder toe-in logic. It also had the combined features of versions 10.4 and 10.3 with an additional change in takeoff trim. This software version used up to 30 degrees of rudder deflection to coordinate small lateral stick movements, thereby limiting the roll authority at high AOA.
