The MALD had a 14″ suspension, with a 2-position umbilical. It used a set of grid fins for stability augmentation while carried as a payload. It had folding wings that could deploy. It used a turbojet engine for propulsion and a GPS-aided INS system for navigation. The entire aircraft weighs around 280 lbs, with a payload of 40 lbs. The payload power is 1 KVA. It is compatible with a MIL-8591 suspension lug.
