Iterative Reconstruction algorithms are based on random fluctuations in sinogram measurements.[^1] IR algorithms estimate object data from a standard volume or similar object.[^1] The estimated raw data is compared to the actual raw data.[^1] Then the differences between this data is projected back to the estimator step.[^1] This process continues until convergence.[^1]
